Since its formation in 2007, EPI has been dedicated to manufacturing top-of-the-line complex engineered components. As a precision engineering company in the UAE, we continuously serve as the engineering backbone of the country's expanding defence and aerospace industries, as well as a key contributor to the oil and gas sectors.

We support small arms manufacturing, and over the years, we gradually grew into one of the GCC’s leading precision engineering companies dedicated to the aerospace, defence, and oil and gas industries.

At EPI, we transform initial designs to finished components through our comprehensive range of specialised technical services. These standard-driven precision engineering services cover engineering, machining, special processes, laboratories, and inspection, all of which are performed in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Abu Dhabi. Each of our precision engineering solutions is evaluated against industry-specific benchmarks and developed to satisfy stringent international quality standards.

Today, we provide design enhancements and modifications in addition to manufacturing components. We re-engineer completed designs and existing components, all while maintaining a high level of quality and precision throughout the process.

As part of EDGE in the Mission Support cluster, EPI is committed to harnessing only the latest and most relevant technologies. We have evolved from our first four machines to an integrated suite of no less than 100 advanced machine and system tools, including the revolutionary CNC milling, CNC turning, chemical processing, non-destructive testing, shot peening, PVD coating, and plastic injection.

Along with cutting-edge technology, we invest in the brightest brains in the industry. Our Industrial Engineers are trained to transform concepts into functional prototypes using precision engineering machine tools and a state-of-the-art measurement facility that ensures accuracy. With the best people and technology in the field, we are able to impart our expertise in all stages of the manufacturing process.

In 2011, EPI was the first firm in the Gulf region to receive the EN/AS9100 Revision C accreditation, known as the aerospace industry's premier Quality Management System. We have also been certified as an ISO 9001:2015 company.

With our strategic alliances with major worldwide companies, we have an advantage over other industry players, enabling us to strengthen our supply chains, skills, and experience, as well as develop new precision engineering solutions at our state-of-the-art facility. This also allows us to continue our commitment to deliver high-quality precision engineering services to market-leading regional and worldwide clients, including some of the world's largest aviation, defense, and oil & gas OEMs.

HARNESSING LEADING-EDGE TECH

From our cutting tools center equipped with advanced precision engineering technology, we manufacture cutting tools and re-sharpeners that are guaranteed to be of the highest quality and precision and ideal for a variety of operations, including milling, drilling, and reaming, among other things.

On top of measuring and inspection of cutting tools, we provide custom-made cutting tools for all applications, five-axis cutter grinders for tool re-sharpening, self-measurement probes and 3D simulators, and manufacturing and re-sharpening services for carbide and HSS tools.

Through our established Physical Vapour Deposition coating process, we provide a variety of standard and bespoke coatings. These top-of-the-line coating services enable our clients to maximize the life and performance of their equipment.

INSPECTION AND LABORATORIES DRIVEN BY STANDARDS

Continually monitoring and controlling all our products and production processes, our expert team guarantees that our precision engineering solutions satisfactorily fulfill our internal and external client requirements. That is why at EPI, we zero in on training our staff to get operator credentials and participate in reassessment programs, enabling us to increase the number of self-inspection deployments across departments.

Our Statistical Process Control framework takes this a step further by optimizing sample techniques and redefining critical features necessary for compliance with our Quality Policy. Our inspection process is carried out using traditional inspection equipment, such as vernier calipers, micrometers, digital high-gage measuring equipment, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and hexagon machines equipped with PCDMIS for offline programming.

Metallic Laboratory

To achieve industrial standards, we are prepared to regulate the characteristics of materials, such as multiple aluminum grades, titanium, steel, and stainless steel. This is accomplished by strict supervision, which includes inbound inspections, thorough inspections during the components production stage, and post-heat-treatment processes evaluation. Among our test capa are the following:

  • Material surface hardness with machines capable of Vickers, Knop, and Rockwell A, B, C techniques
  • Analysis of case-depth hardness (white layer) and microstructure (including moulding)
  • Analysis of chemicals using spark optical emission spectrometer (OES)
  • Non-ferrous material electrical conductivity measurement (aluminum grade/Eddy currents)

Calibration Lab

Within our scope of processes, our highly skilled team performs in-house equipment calibration that may involve dimension forces, torques, electrical systems, and furnaces. Our calibration service is administered through a dedicated software platform, monitoring all associated data and notifications. This enables equipment to be recalled within the stipulated verification time.
