Responsible for managing the General Accounting, Treasury, Tax  and Financial Reporting functions and timely closing of the Oracle Finance modules.  Responsible for analytical variance analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.  Responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, UAE Law and IFRS.

Education and Qualifications


  • University degree in a financial or accounting discipline.

Qualifications and experience

  • Fully qualified accounting professional (CPA or equivalent)
  • 10 years of experience in Public Accounting preferably in Aerospace industry with minimum 3 years in a managerial position
  • Experience of interacting with external auditors and representatives of national/international financial institutions
  • Advanced financial analysis skills

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the development, seek approval & ensure effective implementation of the Finance policies and procedures in line with global best practices & organizational financial strategy, ensuring alignment of all business units to meet AMMROC’s financial goals & objectives.
  • Manage the effective achievement of departmental objectives under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer through effective execution and management of the department plan – setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance.
  • Manage the analytical review of financial variances of budget versus actual and provide timely reporting
  • Participate in the budgeting process and manage cash Flow forecasts and Balance Sheet forecasts.
  • Lead the development of appropriate systems and procedures (to be reviewed and approved by senior management) covering all areas of financial controls, systems & forms and oversee their implementation so that all departmental activities are carried out effectively and economically and proper systems are in place to run all financial operations smoothly.
  • Recommend improvements to departmental policy, and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of financial policies and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
  • Manage the assessment and evaluation of AMMROC policies and procedures, financial recording/documentation processes etc,  to ensure legal and regulatory compliance/Submitting recommendations for change as appropriate.
  • Direct and lead the upgrading of financial guidelines to ensure efficient and effective management of AMMROC’s financial activities as per business strategy.
  • Ensure effective cash flow management by monitoring and controlling daily cash and investment positions in order to ascertain availability of cash to meet AMMROC’s business and contractual commitments while maintaining an optimal level of liquidity by investing excess funds.
  • Develop periodic financial projections for AMMROC to ensure budgets and business plans are thorough, conservative and financially feasible.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data and adherence of the accounting system to IFRS.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing activities as per policies and procedures, maintain, and reconcile General Ledger accounts ensuring quality and efficiency in the deliverables
  • Foster an effective working relationship with auditors both internal and external to ensure all recommendations and findings are identified by audit are acted upon promptly with the necessary action implemented
  • Ensure the accuracy of data and adherence of the accounting system to IFRS.
  • Hedge FX exposure through short term/long term FX forward contracts.
  • Supervise daily FX rates negotiation with the bank treasury and manage FX exposure of non AED currencies.
  • Ensure the accuracy of VAT accounting and reporting to EDIC.
  • Support business on tax in indirect countries (W/H tax etc.) and ensure accuracy of tax accounting.
  • Supervise six monthly audit and the yearly statutory audits and  the review of the internal audit reports drafted by auditors for each program to ensure they are comprehensive and accurate in their key observations and findings, address the main audit concerns and provide value added recommendations for improvements.
  • Supervise/Conduct the preparation of timely and accurate Audit Reports/ other financial statements and reports of AMMROC to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
