OVERVIEW

To perform critical compliance inspections during the execution of corrective and preventive maintenance routines to ensure quality standards for vehicle/equipment serviceability/operationally readiness are met.  Execute the QMS system focusing on continuous process improvements driven by customer requirements.  Document quality findings/prepare quality reports. Ensure process is within ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Standards.

Education and Qualifications

Education

  • Two-year Technical diploma/degree/certification required
  • Two years previous experience as a military tracked vehicles mechanic
  • One year experience as a Senior in a military tracked vehicle workshop

 

Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a role with assigned responsibility for quality auditing is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a multi-skilled specialist auditor in a technical field is preferred.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct inspections during maintenance routines
  • Ensure discrepancies found are corrected IAW published requirements
  • Work directly with supervisors/managers to resolve any quality related issues
  • Verify incoming and outgoing vehicle/equipment serviceability/operational readiness condition
  • Conduct joint quality control inspections with GMC/unit representatives
  • Interact directly with the external customer to resolve quality related issues
  • Conduct over the shoulder evaluations on a regular basis
  • Conduct spot checks on tools and calibrated items to ensure serviceability
  • Conduct classification inspections to determine item serviceability and process condemned items as required for customer approval
  • Conducts testing for any suspect material deficiency reports
  • Provide feedback to Senior QC Inspector, Track- A Shop on training needs of the maintenance employees
  • Provide quality control input in the creation of CM job plans
  • Provide quality control input into the Annual Service Plan
  • Document quality findings and analyze for recommendations for reporting to Senior QC Inspector, Track- A Shop
  • Conduct root cause analysis as part of team concerning any customer related rejects/warranty related concerns
  • Perform other duties as required by Supervisor, Quality.
