To provide technical and commercial contract management support to EARTH’s internal and external customers that meet RFP/ RFI/RFQ requirements and consistent with Contract Management policy & procedures.

Education and Qualifications


  • Minimum bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical/electronic/electrical) or equivalent 

Preferred Qualification

  • Master degree in engineering (mechanical/electronic/electrical) or equivalent
  • Master degree in business administration (MBA)/bachelor degree in law (LLB) or equivalent


  • Contract management experience in public/private sector defence engineering and R&D organization

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide inputs to develop and implement Contract Management Strategy
  • Provide inputs to develop and implement Contract Management policy & procedures  
  • Assist to develop and implement Contract Management section budget and monitor financial performance against the budget
  • Conduct meetings with concerned EARTH departments and/or program/ project teams to discuss the customer requirements and/or interpret RFQ/RFP/RFI to gather the technical requirements of the requested services and provide high level risks associated with post-award contract administration
  • Participate as a member in the Tender/Bids Opening, Evaluation and Negotiation Committee and provide Contract life-cycle management support for the projects undertaken by EARTH
  • Analyze the final scope of services and provide contract administration risk and risk mitigation measures
  • Finalize proposal budget estimates, commercial and technical terms & conditions for customer and supplier contracts/agreements in coordination with Program/Project Managers and Finance Department
  • Finalize technical inputs for contracts and agreements for customers and suppliers including but not limited to NDA’s, Project Agreements, Sale & Purchase Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Supply Agreements, Services Agreements, etc. (as and when required)
  • Conduct (in coordination with Contract Advisors) meetings with customers and suppliers to negotiate the contract with the concerned Program/Project Managers, Legal Advisor and Finance Department
  • Conduct meetings with Insurance Brokers to review the project specific insurance proposal and quote
  • Coordinate with Program/Project Managers and Finance Department to finalize the project specific insurance and ensure issuance of insurance certificate before the beginning of the program/project
  • Manage procurement requirements for specific programs/project
  • Monitor the contract performance (specific to the achievement project milestones) and propose measure/solutions to Program/Project Managers to bridge the performance gaps
  • Inform the Program/Project Managers about a milestone event in advance, prior to the milestone occurrence and advise Finance Department to raise payment request against the completion of milestone  
  • Identify post contract award risks and recommend risk mitigation measures/ solution to Program/Project Managers
  • Finalize responses to customer and supplier regarding contract deviations, modification in proposal budget estimates, commercial and technical contract terms & conditions
  • Review customer complaints related to technical and commercial aspects of contract, propose corrective actions on non-conformities to Program/Project Managers and ensure its implementation
  • Finalize Quarterly/ Periodically Account Closing of the projects, forecast estimates and communicate them to Program/Project managers
  • Develop and manage key customer and supplier relationships by understanding customer requirements and providing solution to their problems
  • Review supplier performance reports and propose actions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency to improve their services
  • Ensure effective management of all relevant contract related correspondences and documentations
  • Coordinate with the Internal/External Auditors and provide required documents for completion of the internal/external audit, as and when required
