To manage aircraft maintenance programs/projects including and not limited to plan, coordinate and schedule maintenance procedures and activities; manage support equipment and aircraft maintenance; troubleshoot critical maintenance issues; perform on-going maintenance and pre-flight inspections and ensure that the aircraft maintenance is performed in compliance with aviation standards, within the budget targets and as per the customer requirements.


Education and Qualifications


  • Minimum master degree in engineering (aerospace/aircraft) or equivalent

Preferred Qualification

  • Certification in project management


  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and project management in public/ private sector organizations

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct meetings with concerned EARTH department/program/project teams to discuss the customer requirements and/or interpret RFP/RFQ/FRI to gather the technical requirements of the requested services
  • Develop initial technical scope, approach, estimate budget and resources; identify potential risks and conduct meetings with the client to confirm, negotiate and finalize the technical scope
  • Develop project plans (in coordination with OEMs/suppliers) including phases, key activities, milestones etc.
  • Guide the interpretation of manuals, log book, log cards, service bulletins, drawings, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manual and other engineering orders, as and when required
  • Ensure engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are met in all aircraft maintenance projects/programs
  • Manage aircraft maintenance programs/projects with regards to the budget guidelines, volume throughput, cycle time, specific planning discipline(s), industry standards and expectations to improve safety and compliance
  • Develop, organize and control workflow through the Maintenance/MRO team to ensure minimal delay in all aircraft maintenance activities and adherence to established maintenance schedule, work orders and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance manual
  • Manage on-going examination of structural, mechanical and avionics systems/components of aircraft during the maintenance/repair/overhaul stage to identify any hidden malfunctioning or damaged systems/components
  • Identify the nature of discrepancy and establish process to correct the problem in a timely manner
  • Perform pre and post flight performance inspection upon completion of maintenance activities to ensure the airworthiness of aircrafts
  • Manage maintenance of a comprehensive record system while carrying out maintenance activities to comply with the regulations
  • Finalize technical reports and documentation as required
  • Ensure team’s adherence to project site policy & procedures
