The purpose of the role is to serve as the main liaison in the cluster between EDGE’s finance team at the holding and the finance and accounting teams of the cluster-subordinated entities. Partners assist in financial analysis, data gathering, consolidation of cluster entities’ financial results and reporting, preparation of financial statements etc. They also provide advice and best practices within the field and oversee the implementation at the cluster and entity level of finance and accounting policies set at the holding.

Education and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related degree
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA) is preferred

Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of 7+ years of financial accounting and management accounting experience in a relevant organization
  • Experience in UAE/MENA markets is highly recommended

Key Accountabilities


  • In coordination with the internal and external auditors, define/ review accounting standards applicable to the cluster and its entities
  • Provide advice and technical assistance to entity finance and accounting teams regarding accounting treatments (chart of accounts and book keeping procedures for an aligned data flow), financial control (monitoring, cost control and reporting) and financial audit processes
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance of books of accounts, consolidation, periodic reconciliation and payroll administration at the cluster level, and the timely reporting of financial data up from the entities
  • Help entity teams review and identify key variations in accounting policies, suggest optimal alignment of accounting policies within the cluster
  • Review entities’ chart of accounts design and coding and identify areas of misalignment with either cluster modus operandi or EDGE-established policies
  • Develop consolidated cluster financials and management reports, in coordination with entities own finance and accounting teams
  • Assist the holding finance team with the processing of invoices and accounts receivables with entity management regarding Management Service Agreements
  • Ensure that entity and cluster financial processes are compliant with statutory, regulatory and corporate governance requirements
  • Interact with VP of Internal Audit as well as outside independent auditor firms and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Coordinate the provision of cluster and entity information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the Chief of Cluster and execute any other finance-related duties as determined by the Chief of Cluster


  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant finance and accounting personnel in the entities and at the holding with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical issues in-order to ensure the services required by the EDGE are delivered in the most effective manner
  • Coordinate with external auditors and assist them in reviewing all company-related audits
