OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager of Talent Development is responsible for overseeing all EDGE talent management activities including performance reviews, career management (career path, competency matrix and progression, succession), and talent development.

Education and Qualifications

Education

  • BA/ BSc in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or in a closely related field such as economics, business, administration or industrial relations
  • HR-related certificates (e.g., PHR, SPHR, etc.) are preferred

 

Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of 12 years working in a HR talent management position, at least 5 years of which should be in a supervisory position

 

Key skills

  • Proven experience in developing comprehensive learning and development strategies and policies, preferably in investment or a related industry in the MENA region
  • In depth knowledge of talent development best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of labour regulations

Key Accountabilities

Strategic (EDGE Level):

  • Develop EDGE’s performance management framework in order to support the establishment of a performance culture and facilitate organizational excellence across all roles
  • Develop EDGE’s talent management strategy that aligns with best practices and enables the training and development of EDGE’s talent pool to promote long term careers within the firm
  • Participate in the development of EDGE succession plans in coordination with the leadership team and department directors to ensure effective identification and grooming of high potential employees to assume key roles of the organization in the future

 

Strategic (Cluster and entity level):

  • Assist the SVP of HC & Admin with reviewing entity talent management policies (as required) and recommend changes to ensure adequate talent development in the clusters and entities

 

Operational:

  • Coordinate EDGE’s performance review across functions and support functional directors with the required tools and assistance to complete performance review cycles
  • Review, update and maintain EDGE’s processes and procedures regarding performance management, career management and talent development
  • Design and develop EDGE’s training and development programs, graduate development programs, scholarship programs, and programs for Nationals
  • Work closely with the management of all EDGE departments to understand the business needs and skills requirements in order to modify and customize training programs
  • Manage the design of Personal Development Plans (PDP) for EDGE employees in order to structure their development in line with identified training needs
  • Manage EDGE’s relationship with external training vendors
  • Lead the evaluation and monitoring of the effectiveness of EDGE’s learning and development against predefined metrics to ensure achievement of return on investment (ROI) from the programs
  • Assist the SVP of HC & Admin with reviewing entity talent management policies (as required) and recommend changes to ensure adequate talent development in the entities
