  • Unmanned solutions delivering force multiplication and operational advantage.

Unmanned systems are not a new concept; their origins trace back over a century, with the first unmanned platform flying in 1917. What began as experimental technology has become integral to military capabilities, shifting strategy from reliance on manned assets to integrated manned-unmanned teaming.

Today, rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI), stealth technology, Industry 4.0 manufacturing, and advanced robotics are accelerating this transformation, enabling unmanned systems to deliver precision, reliability, and increased human safety across missions, leading to a new era of operational concepts and power projection.

At the forefront of this transformation, EDGE highlights three next-generation unmanned solutions that redefine technological superiority, enable force multiplication, and give forces a decisive edge across air, land, and sea.

JERNAS-M: flexible MALE platform for ISR and ground strike

Unveiled at the Dubai Airshow 2025 and building on the design principles of the JERNAS-S, the JERNAS-M is a low-cost, medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) engineered for both tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), and ground strikes.

With an extended endurance of 20 hours for ISR, or 12 hours when carrying a maximum payload of 280 kg, its flexible configuration provides forces with a compact and reliable platform across diverse mission profiles, enhancing overall operational efficiency and delivering multi-mission capability through a single, adaptable system.

THeMIS: modular unmanned firepower

The THeMIS line of combat-proven unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), already acquired by 19 countries, demonstrates EDGE’s commitment to cost-effective, multi-role defence capabilities that enhance the safety, efficiency, and combat effectiveness of infantry forces.

With a versatile, modular design and open architecture, THeMIS platforms enable rapid configuration for a range of missions, from combat support and casualty evacuation to intelligence gathering and tactical reconnaissance.

THeMIS COMBAT engages threats safely with remote-controlled weapons and advanced sensors. THeMIS CARGO delivers critical supplies and evacuates casualties efficiently, reducing personnel risk. THeMIS OBSERVE provides enhanced situational awareness with multi-sensor intelligence, including day/night cameras, an acoustic gunshot detector, smoke screen protection, and a ground surveillance radar, allowing units to detect, track, and respond to emerging threats with speed and precision.

170 M-DETECTOR: persistent unmanned surveillance

Engineered for maritime ISR missions and underwater mine detection, the 170 M-Detector unmanned surface vessel (USV) can be configured for both manned and unmanned operations, performing a range of surface warfare, surveillance and mapping missions for naval and civilian forces. It can operate for four hours in silent electric propulsion mode or at speeds of up to 40 knots in diesel mode, greatly improving ISR and rapid response capabilities.
