The visit focused on deepening ties between EDGE and the French defence industry.

H.E. President Macron was accompanied by a high-level delegation of government ministers, senior officials from the French Presidency and chief executives from the French defence industry. The two Presidents were received by H.E. EDGE Hosts President Emmanuel Macron to Strengthen Industrial Cooperation

The visit builds on EDGE’s growing footprint in France. In June 2026, the Group launched EDGE Europe, its subsidiary headquartered in Paris, and signed a framework for industrial and technological cooperation with France’s Directorate General for Armaments (DGA). In the same month, EDGE and Safran Electronics & Defense signed a joint venture term sheet for the co-development and production of next-generation precision-guided weapons in the UAE and France. Through EDGE Europe, the Group is building capabilities, investing in talent and developing technology in Europe for the long term, working with European companies to strengthen national industrial bases rather than compete with them.
